Jatin brings to the team more than 15 years of global experience through working directly with technology companies - having founded and led many reputable start-ups. Prior to joining theAsianparent, Jatin was the former Asia Pacific Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Rocket Internet JV, where he managed over 15 businesses in the Asia Pacific region, and Chief Financial Officer of GEM Eduventures in London - the investment arm of GEMS Education group investing in funds and technology start-ups globally.

Jatin also had stints that developed his acumen for commercial strategy, investment, corporate finance and strategy development at companies like Ernst & Young and Accenture Management Consulting. In his new role at theAsianparent, Jatin will implement and drive new strategic, commercial and tech initiatives to propel the business towards US$100 million revenue within the next few years, which includes financial improvements, transformation and implementation of various technology and product related strategies for the company.

davidThe Asia Pacific Effie Awards announced the appointment of David Porter, Vice President of Global Media at Unilever AAR (markets outside Europe and the Americas) as the Chairman for the 2020 edition of the Awards.

A marketing and communications guru, Porter possesses more than 40 years of industry experience in both agency and in-house capacities. Prior to joining Unilever in 2010, Porter spent 25 years in UK agencies before a 7-year stay in Asia Pacific with Mindshare where he managed the agency’s multimarket relationship with Unilever.

In his present role at Unilever, Porter oversees one of the largest media budgets in a diverse region spanning 14 time zones. He is responsible for driving the company’s innovation in communications channel planning to develop Unilever into a major force in digital marketing in the region.

Unilever currently holds the title as the Most Effective Marketer for the 2019 Effie Index, which ranks the companies with the most effective marketing communications ideas from around the world. She was most recently the Head of Cognito Singapore, where she was responsible for laying the firm’s foundational focus for its clients and expanding the team. She was also at the Ministry of Manpower for four years, where she worked on inter-governmental initiatives and worked closely with advertising agencies to drive awareness campaigns. In her early career at Ogilvy, Prisita honed her senses for integrated communications approaches through public and corporate sector 360 campaigns.

Jin Ooi has been appointed Director of Client Services at Huntington Communications. In his role, Jin will be responsible for a new department providing solutions-driven strategic consultation for brands undergoing transformation.

George Do Bio PicGojek announced the appointment of George Do as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He will be responsible for the security of the company, including its portfolio of apps, products and services, as well as overall information security strategy and management of governance, risk and compliance.

George is a seasoned information and cyber security executive in the tech industry. He was most recently CISO at Equinix, a Nasdaq-listed real estate investment trust, where he worked for more than a decade and was accountable for the security of all of the company’s products and services, as well as that of the enterprise. The self-described “security evangelist” also developed and led Equinix’s first Global Information Security Programme to manage security risks across the global organisation.

Prior to Equinix, George held security leadership roles at several tech companies including CenturyLink, TiVo, Exodus and Savvis. George also worked as an Information Security Engineer at NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration), during which he was based at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California and tasked with investigating security incidents and protecting government information assets.

George is currently an advisor to YL Ventures, a California-based venture capital firm that supports cyber-security entrepreneurs. He also serves on customer advisory boards at various cybersecurity firms such as Palo Alto Networks, and is a thought leader and active speaker at cyber-security industry events.

Bringing extensive experience to the business, George assumed his position at Gojek with effect from September 2019. He reports to Ajey Gore, Gojek Group Chief Technology Officer, and is based in Singapore, having moved there from San Francisco with his family.

Independent global digital creative agency AnalogFolk has appointed Guy Wieynk as Global CEO.

In the role, Wieynk will partner with Co-Founders Bill Brock and Matt Dyke to continue to grow the network. Wieynk’s focus will be on evolving AnalogFolk’s international service offering, with Brock leading global business development efforts and Dyke heading up global strategy and product output.

With a proven track record in international growth, Wieynk will oversee the network’s 350 people across offices in London, New York, Portland, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sydney. The appointment signals AnalogFolk’s commitment to increasing connectivity and collaboration between its offices to better serve its global clients, including Nike, Unilever, L’Oreal, Hyundai and Diageo.

As part of the deal AnalogFolk will acquire Serum Consulting, the eight-person creative consultancy that specialises in growth, proposition development and digital transformation services which was launched by Wieynk earlier this year.

Prior to founding Serum Consulting, Wieynk was UK and Western Europe CEO at Publicis Worldwide. He led the turnaround of Publicis UK including adding clients such as Virgin Cruises, Huawei, Morrisons, Heineken and the IOC to the roster. He was also the Global Client lead for Heineken running the network’s creative, media and technology agencies across 150+ markets. Groundbreaking work included No More Excuses, the data-led campaign starring José Mourinho and Worlds Apart, Heineken’s most successful ever UK campaign with over 35 million views on Facebook and YouTube. Before joining Publicis Groupe, he spent seventeen years building AKQA the global digital agency. Over his tenure he held a variety of senior roles in the UK, US, Asia and Europe. In his final role, Wieynk was International VP, trebled the agency’s revenue, opened five offices and won over 300 major awards, including 18 ‘Agency of the Year’ titles.

The acquisition and appointment follows AnalogFolk’s recent announcement that it is boosting its service innovation credentials, with the agency also making substantial investments in their data intelligence capabilities earlier this year.

Paul Brown KenyoniPrice Group, South East Asia's leading product discovery and comparison platform, recently appointed Paul Brown-Kenyon as its President and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to his appointment at iPrice Group, Paul Brown-Kenyon was the Chief Executive Officer of Global Berhad (MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd.) for more than 13 years. Brown-Kenyon joined MEASAT in 2003 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and has been in the South East Asian region for 15 years. Prior to being CEO of MEASAT, Brown-Kenyon has spent six years employed with the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
